Recipe:

- 45ml IPA

- 30ml white rum

- 30ml aged rum

- 30ml lime juice

- 22.5ml orgeat

- 15ml dry curaçao

Shake everything with ice (be cautious with the beer releasing Co2), strain the drink into an ice-filled rocks glass or collins glass. Garnish with cocktail cherries and optional a cocktail parasol.

DEUTSCH | ENGLISH

A Mai Tai with IPA, so simple and yet so good & drinkable. A more intense IPA can definitely be used here, as the sweet rum and citrus freshness provide a nice counterbalance. Once again a great example of the magical category of underrated beer cocktails.

If I remember correctly, as is often the case with drinks with fillers, I went with 30ml of beer again instead of the official recipe and split the white rum into one with 46% and the other half with an overproof one.
