Recipe:

- 30ml manzanilla sherry

- 30ml unaged Martinique rum

- 22.5ml honey syrup

- 22.5ml lime juice

- 45ml coconut water

- 22.5ml aged Jamaican rum

Combine everything except the Jamaican rum in a swizzle glass. Add crushed ice and swizzle until the glass begins to frost. Top with the Jamaican rum, then garnish with toasted coconut chips and a lime wheel.

I recently found this beautiful glass in an antiques online store with maybe 1-2 pages of items. It was presented as a "whisky glass" and even made by the well-known German manufacturer Villeroy & Boch, but to me, it couldn't scream tiki any more than it already does. So we had to find a suitable drink for the inauguration.

Nice easy sipper with maritime notes en masse, with the salty, dry Manzanilla sherry and the equally fresh and crisp Martinique (here a J.M. special edition). The Jamaican rum slowly flowing in is a cool bonus. As is often the case (but not always!), I can also recommend trying it with toasted coconut water/juice instead, to bring out a touch more depth.
