A drink that I liked surprisingly well, as the Negroni is usually not one of my favorites, except in particularly well-balanced alternatives. The combination of the rather fresh and intense cognac (from Wu Dram Clan) and the rather fruity and light, but still slightly spicy red vermouth from the same source worked perfectly. If you prefer a sweet and dark, hearty Cognac, go for a full-bodied vermouth like Antica Formula, otherwise go for something fresher with both ingredients (Pierre Ferrand 1840 would be a good example of the latter) so that the Cognac isn't overpowered by the other two ingredients. A very nice Cognac Negroni with the perfect amount of freshness from the bitters and served up. We can find notes of grapes, pomegranate, red wine, myrtle, oak and herbs.
